Eat Whatever You Want

I know most of my holistic peers don’t agree with me on this.  That’s fine.  This isn’t a consensus reality.

You know the saying, “You are what you eat”?  I disagree…so much.  You are what you think and what you feel.  Wayne Dyer, “The more you change the way you look at things the things you look at change.”

I love it when Abraham-Hicks gets a new person up to ask a question and she asks them, “Do they tell you what to eat?”  I think it goes over the head of the person in the audience asking a question but I find it hilarious.

From my 15 years in clinical practice and from reading the science backing up the reason for why the body is the way it is, I believe that hardly anyone understands why the body is the way it is…really.

You are what you feel and what you think and then your mind manifests it.

Your vibration has been proven to be absorbed by all of your cells and literally changes them.  What is your vibration?  Your vibration is the dominant feelings you run and your habitual thoughts, beliefs, and ideas all day.  It’s also what you absorb from other people because you don’t have the boundaries up around your body.  It’s also what you decide to watch and take INTO your mind all day instead of being focused on your own body, your own thoughts, your own breath, and feelings.  The latter is what you’re shooting for being centered and grounded.  Then you can hang around in public and not habitually suck the public energy into your space.

Yes, food has vibration, by itself, without anyone in the room.  All the plants and animals we eat used to be alive and have their own vibrant qi.  Then we killed them.  So we all eat dead food unless we just picked it or just killed it.  But THERE IS NO WAY that any food sitting there on the counter has a stronger vibration on its own, affecting your cells than your feelings and thoughts right at this moment about the food.

The fact is, your thoughts and feelings are what affect the food, not the other way around.  The food does not have power over you, you are the one that has the power over it.  Your attitude toward the food you eat, your feelings about the food you eat is what makes the foods vibration.  That fact is the origin of blessing food before eating it is aligning our minds and blessing ourselves no matter what we eat so that we are in a loving frame of mind.

So, eat whatever you want, dream up your life, meditate and feel your cells vibrating and lose the guilt!  Be happy while you’re eating and that alone changes your metabolism.  Other things do too, but ignore the toxic emotions projected on to food or anything for that matter,  by other human beings and the media.

Salad looks really good to me, but so does the Laffy Taffy sometimes.  If I get happy thinking about it, it raises my vibration and eating it cannot bring my vibration down unless I change my thoughts and feelings about it.  Because they both make me happy, they are both healthy and they both taste good.  But if you really believe it’s bad, don’t eat it because then you are eating the bad vibes you just projected onto it!  It’s all about what you believe, not the thing itself.

Let’s see how long this takes to catch on in our compulsive, materialistic culture where everyone gives away their thoughts and feelings to everything they see outside of themselves to avoid dealing with or knowing their own thoughts and feelings, thus their own power.

Emotions You Run Proliferate

It’s not quite fully understood yet and I don’t believe there’s a scientific formula for it, but people are starting to observe the fact that emotions you run accidentally, by default, in reaction to events, others, OR on purpose… duplicate.

There are no right or wrong, just or unjust feelings.  Everyone is free to feel whatever they feel at any moment in time and then receive the repercussion.  It’s nature.

If you throw a ball straight up into the air, it will come down.

If you’re in the habit too long of sitting in and running negative emotion, it becomes an automatic pilot and then your body will begin to break down.

If you’re in the habit of daily getting up and feeling and enjoying your body, grateful to be alive one more day knowing it’s going to end someday and deciding to drink it in and run the race, your body will remain strong and vigorous.

Some people put on a good front that they’re happy, but their body tells the truth.

If you tell the truth about how you feel, let go and move on to the next one, you will be well.

If you deny or cover how you really feel and never let it go, you’re making yourself ill.  Sure, you can do it with a smile on your face, but your body tells the truth about how you feel and a healer can feel it.

Take care.

Hands on Holistic Healthcare

The doctors in white coats have come to be mostly about drugs and surgery in response to how misaligned Americans are with their own flesh. Many times, none of that is necessary. The flesh can be healed by moving the deep blood or Qi. Blood is Qi.

The responsibility is not entirely on them that they aren’t offering you what you really need. It is a market after all; supply and demand are in play and most Americans demand something quick because they don’t know any better. The information and choices with regard to being well are out there, but then they have to read and ask questions. Well, if they don’t want to do that the whining and blame begins and here we have the condition of our current healthcare system.

The health insurance companies make a lot of money off of this dis-empowering  dynamic and the federal government gets a cut by intimidating you into a mandatory program that doesn’t work,  mostly because it doesn’t include what does work; mind, body, spirit.  It’s great for sick people and those that don’t take care of themselves but not for most of us.

The public wants as many ways as possible to self medicate and keep their feelings under the carpet so they can keep their addiction going until they’re six feet under.  It’s this American mentality that gave us Trump.  It’s very red. “Don’t mix up my provincial haven with diversity, culture and choices.” They want to lock in a time warp, alcoholism  firmly entrenched with rigid religion and Hallmark holidays and “nobody touch that dial!”. They don’t even have a HDTV or cell phone. This is a majority of America in 2017. I can’t believe we’re still in Mayberry RFD but the world is going much too fast for most Americans and they’ve brought in an orange monster to make it stop with “alternative facts”.  The people who live in the cities and on the coasts just laugh at them.  It’s not working.

I and my peers are over here on the leading edge, looking at quantum physics and Abraham-Hicks, Reiki, Deep tissue therapy that moves the blood which is qi, herbs and chakra balancing. I put my hands on a patients body with a heart full of love to set an example and I feel joy doing this.  I use Reiki and teach my patients how their thoughts and feelings manifest into their tissue, then I help them release it.  All of my patients acknowledge and can feel the mind/body connection.  I m very proud of that. They are made aware of it through my touch. That is the case for all healthcare practitioners who put their hands on patients. We are called to a higher integrity in our hearts and minds. And we are called to practice strong boundaries between professional  care and personal care.

In a healthcare office where touch is involved there is no personal care. We use draping and there is no nudity.  In addition, we are not to use techniques that hurt the patient.  I’ve gotten a lot of complaints about that. Patients tell me that massage therapists have hurt them going too hard with to much oil pointing thumb tips or elbows into their flesh. That’s called nociceptive treatment and is un-called for.  Pain is not therapeutic it’s sadistic.

Also, there can be no physical intimacy, and it’s illegal.  These boundaries are still being established, but it degrades the holistic professions if there is any crossover.  I believe this is an issue in the public mind especially with regard to massage therapy where oil is used.  I do manual therapy, deep tissue work in my office so there is no full body spa massage.  What I do is health care and can be covered by insurance if the insurance companies would cooperate.  I get physician scripts all the time that they pay no attention to.

Hopefully, soon, soft tissue specialists will have doctorate level licensing and there won’t be any more confusion regarding which soft tissue treatment is entertainment and which one is healthcare.  It will be coming.

Do you know about your own body?

sun-ten-pink-label chinese-herbal-medicine teapot

Everyone walks around in their body 24/7 yet know very little or think it’s too complicated to figure out. I’m supposed to know something about my car, my house, the grocery store, my money and food, drugs, how to drive, the highway system, office politics, and the holidays, but knowledge about my body, or the care of it? That is someone else’s job; the physician.

Isn’t that a little suspicious?

I am in my body and Mind 24/7…but someone else knows more than me about how I work? I’m an individual.  No one is exactly like me.  Everyone is unique.  A doctor, a shrink, a counselor…knows MORE than you?  Because…they’re smarter?

Do you know your own house, clothes closet, car, and garage pretty well?  But you’re not in those 24/7.

Do you know your own kids pretty well?  But you’re not with them 24/7.

Do you know your way to work?  But you don’t make that trip 24/7.

Where is your liver in your body?  Where are your kidneys?  Where is your pancreas?

Where is your underwear drawer?  Where are your kids?  Where is your bank?

What’s in your blood?  Where is blood made in the body?  What vitamins and minerals are essential to the function of your brain?

Take ownership.  You own a car, maybe a home, things, a bank account-all superficial. The most important thing you have is a body and thus a Mind.  No doctor, pastor, priest, or teacher knows more about you than you do.  I feel it’s just as important for small children to learn basic anatomy and all the functions of the body along with reading and writing. They need to understand early on how the cells of their body work, what’s in them and what’s not in them.  It’s not that hard and it’s essential to understand your own nature so you can be empowered to heal yourself as your grow.  You learn to brush your teeth, get dressed, walk, read, write, speak, and take care of your own body.  You know how to balance your bank account, pay bills, do chores, and heal!

If anyone is more interested in basic anatomy or even what you can do to deal with viruses and colds with herbs, meditation, etc., let me know.  I may start a little educational series on here.  As a Reiki master and Master Herbalist, I don’t approach the body the way Prevention Magazine or WebMD does.  I promise you that.

Bruce Lipton’s book “The Biology of Belief”

The Biology of Belief

I read Bruce’s 1st edition of this book several years ago when it came out and now finished his latest one with changes just now.  I recommend this new 10th Anniversary Edition.

I was reading it because I’m writing my own book that is a memoir encompassing the first half of my life, with the theme of synchronicity cues I saw throughout my life that helped me navigate family and relationship scenarios.  His recent research on epigenetics and the subconscious mind really opened up another panorama for me as I was raised in a genealogically myopic family.  Ancestry was a very big deal.  It was all well intended, not to be elitist or biased in any way, as my family heartily embraces other cultures.  But it was still overkill.

In my family, I think the purpose was to sweep some skeletons back into their graves; to portray a picture of our family as better than it was in terms of behavior.  This is nothing new.  Welcome to the human family on this planet!  Everyone wants others to believe they’re better than the other guy, that their family is somehow exceptional.  God it’s nauseating.

So, here’s the new deal though.  Bruce has scientific study upon scientific study showing that we are in the 2:98 ratio.  Meaning, 2% of our DNA is from our family and 98% of our DNA is from our environment.  What we hear, learn, see, speak, do, pick up like a sponge and imprint on and continue to morph ourselves on is mostly what makes us who we are.  Your DNA keeps changing after birth and throughout your life.  DNA is not static; it’s active!  Your birth genes are practically squat.  All they did was give you a blueprint for your body, but they don’t control your body.  That’s the first breakthrough.  YOWSA!!  Right?

The 2nd big piece of news is that again, tons of studies have shown that your subconscious mind, as a baby, and even pre-conception, conception, pre-natal, and early post-natal are completely formed by your mother and father.  Holy crap Batman we are SCREWED!  Right? No.  You still have a conscious mind and free will, if you use it and activate it.  What your mother thought, felt, watched, said, experienced, ate, the people she hung around, imprinted your subconscious mind that you have no control over and cannot change.  I thought I was going to fall off of my chair when I read that.  The best thing you can do with this is have a good power sharing relationship between your conscious self (your will) and your subconscious mind (your programming).

Now, before we all panic, do you really know your facts here?  What year were you born? Now go back 12 months (or so) and FIND OUT, if you don’t already know, what your mother was doing, thinking, feeling, and experienced a few months before you were conceived, and then when you were in utero.  That is, if you can. This is big information for you because the way it works is, when you as a personality are not consciously picking your life today, willing the way you want things to go, making decisions, etc., you mind relaxes into vigilant subconscious mode, which  you are not in the least aware of, controlled by…your parents.  Holy crap!!  This is frightening to me. When you wonder why you do something that you did not choose…look at your parents.  You imprinted on it like a sponge in utero!  It’s not your fault and you can’t change it.

I was born in 1963.  My mother’s conscious mind, while I was in utero was in the 1950’s world.  That is accurate.  My house today tends to be retro, I’m traditional, love baking, home-making, cooking, gardening, eating, Leave it To Beaver nauseating stuff feels natural to me.  I can’t help it!  My conscious, birth personality is the opposite, thank god.  I’m a free spirit gypsy, end of the line hippie, artist, dreamer, holistic, musician.  Ah…that’s better.  June Cleaver with hippie flowers and peace sign tatooed on her back is more like it.  I will be going toward that light from now on.

So, if you want to understand yourself better, take your birth year and go backwards into your mother’s time, her way of thinking, and what mindset she was in when you were in her and you will find some BIG answers.  Secondary to her is your father and then all the others in the home and others around them.

“Hand Over Your Body!”

In 2012, the US spent an average of $8,915 per person on health care, reaching a total of $2.8 trillion.  Wow.  I’ve been gauging the tone of social media and TV media for people’s feelings about their health, healthcare, physicians, and wellness.  I believe we may be reaching a saturation point with the public’s patience toward the current debacle of our healthcare system.  It’s too expensive and many times doesn’t work to correct the problem, even though you’re paying a high price for it.

It is somewhat ironic that while the Federal Government is gleeful about the 14 million? newly enrolled citizens in the Affordable Care Act Insurance exchanges, all I hear in my office, in person-to-person appointments with other professionals, and on the street is disdain for Obama care.  It’s a mandate!  Not only that, a mandate toward how you are to care for YOUR OWN BODY!  The federal government is going to make me pay an exorbitant amount per month for “what if” health insurance in a system that doesn’t even really cover services according to my holistic values?  It’s supposed to; but it’s not.  It’s in the law, but the insurance companies aren’t heeding it.

In 2009, the last time the N.I.H. (National Institute of Health) checked, Americans spent $34 billion dollars on holistic medicine in that year.  That was 6 years ago.  We’ve all gotten busier in my field.  Massage Therapists in Michigan finally got a license!  I’m guessing that amount is $40 billion now.  It’s going to go up.  Why?  Because one thing psychologists know about human behavior is that people like to feel their own power.  People like to feel that they have a choice.  They like to know that they are in control of their own destiny.  On the other hand, it’s a little too late for some people.  They’ve trashed their body and mind, battle by battle in the war on their body.  Then allopathic care is perfect for them.  I think the federal govt. knows that, the insurance companies know that, and they’re going to make sick people, addicted people, and people who have not taken care of themselves pay for that.  I’m not going to pay for that.  I’ve practiced preventative medicine my whole life.  I’ve worked out my whole life.  I’m sober; addicted to nothing.  The physical things I have to work on, I’m working on.

The main thing stopping healthy people now, with regard to their own body, is education about HOW? their body works. They believe that the healthcare practitioner holds all the cards because we’ve been trained in the body and it’s complicated.  Well…it is. I studied just the anatomy and function of all the soft tissues of the body for 3.5 years with some smattering of organ function here and there.  I am an expert on how your muscles, ligaments, tendons, and nerves work in your body and how they interact with everything else in the body.  That’s valuable information because that makes up most of your body!  But, I can condense it and teach you some.  But you don’t need to know every bit.  You just need to know what your options are based on some basic facts that no Doctor is going to tell you.

Mostly, you need to know how to do self-healing, how to focus the Mind, and understand how your mind does indeed manifest in who you are and how your body functions.  You do have full control, if you take it and use it.

Internal Qi FOR REAL

Healers work with Qi (Chi). This Shaolin Monk has mastered the flow of his Qi to superhuman levels. The force of it has been measured and he is off the charts.

Martial Arts teaches the use and control of Qi in the body. Martial means “war”. In martial arts, you oppose an enemy. Healers use Qi for peace and healing. In healing you allow a friend in. The Japanese word for Life force is “Ki”. This is the same energy used in Reiki, but to heal instead of harm. It’s real.
